Hi, team!

Completed: Anna Denise's Moly!

I finished my own Moly today!

Well over a year ago I started this group (group 4) with a story about my home town, Utrecht [see here]. I finished it today with a story about my new home town, Brussels.

Thank you Kathrin, Olya, Jenny, Lau, Marty, and Heidi for working with me on this very special exchange. I will cherish this book of stories.

Molymail!

I got Moly_X 4-mail from Heidi today! It's actually my first piece of personal mail I've received on my new address (OK, I've gotten bank stuff, but that doesn't count). WOOT!

I'll be a little busy the coming two weeks with unpacking, finishing up work and getting used to new things, but I will be back full force in June!!! :-)

Sooo... I am a little confused. I received my own moly from Heidi (yay!), but there's four more pages left.

Am I supposed to fill these myself? Is that how we thought it out in the beginning? I forgot....

Moly Extravaganza!

Lets see now.. I have in my possession the journals belonging to Kathrin, Olya, and today I also received Anna's! They all look fantastic! Thank you Marty for the funny postcards you send me in the packages, they live on my wall :D
I have my work cut out, and am going to make a start today. So don't worry, they are safe and sound - and I'll try to send them separately during the next few weeks so Anna can work in them one by one :)

Some kind of inspiration came over me, and I made an entry into Anna Denise's book. So, I will be sending it to you sooner than I thought I would. AD, it's kind of clumsy, and it doesn't flow beautifully with everyone else's, but I hope you like the story, the rise of a great American artist.

The theme of Jenny's book is "Carnival". In the north of germany we don't celebrate carnival, so I drew the carnival of animals.

Olya's book.

"This artwork begs to be colored, but I'm not goig to do it. I have six other books to do and I'm crabby tonight.......Hey, if you would like to color this in, feel free."

Olya, I hope that this amuses you. Heidi, here it comes. I have another book from Lau, but I will hold it for a while so we can catch up.

I am officially a delinquent. I am officially holding up the works. I have three books. I have for days off starting tomorrow, so I will start drawing and send a couple off next week.

Such a bad boy. I actually have five books and two more to begin at my house. Guess I'm not joining any groups for a while.

Kathrin's Spirograph doodles in Lau's Moly

I really don't know what came over me, but yesterday I wanted to draw into Lau's Moly; I had no concrete idea, and I didn't want to think about it until I would be blocked by my thoughts. So I drifted and doodled with my spirograph.

I received 2 moly's on one day!!!!

Update from 2008/07/08

Thanks Lau. I got Olya's book.

Sorry that it's taken me a while to acknowledge its arrival. Cool book! It came to my house while I wasn't at home. Then, it took days for me to get the post office to pick it up. Then, I packed it and left town. moly_x rolls on. I am looking forward to starting this book during the next couple of days.

Marty's Moly has been started ...

Hi all! Here is my piece in progress started in Marty's Moly. I keep his book toooooo long and feel ashamed ^_^
This is a piece of my room (too empty in the pic I'd say)))), in reality it's full of polar bears and different drawing stuff, like canvas, plain and with paintings on), plan to show my neighbors around. Well, I added colours, couldn't control myself!
Hope to finish this weekend and send it on Monday-Tuesday.

Exciting Day!

Hello folks!

SO... you haven't heard much from me lately but here I am with exciting news.
First of all, the moly from Marty-land arrived today. EXCITING!!!
Have to say, the contents are amazing! Talk about pressure to perform!

Second thing is that FINALLY i've completed my entry in Lau's moly.. it didn't go exactly as hoped (doesnt fit in so well with the previous entries) and i 'accidently' managed to get my favourite subject of overheard convo's in there at the same time as seasons.... ;)
The convo's are from Glade Festival in July last year where we experienced floods and torrential rain (lots of mud, and cars being towed out by tractors etc)... during the worst rains i sat in my tent eavesdropping and making notes, like a good little reporter!



I'll post that to Anna D on Monday.

Jenzbook II

I'm really liking this book. Heidi, I'm going to hold on to it for a few more days, so I can share it with the folks in my printmaking class. I will use it as a recruiting tool. BTW, the type was printed on a Showcard letterpress during a printmaking demonstration at my last class. I kinda dig it. So, I will mail the book on Friday.

I rushed to add some new details to the previous update! I received Marty's Moly today!I even screamed seeing it in my mailbox!

Kathrin, thank you soooooooooooooooo much for the bears on the envelope! I recognized Knut at first sight, can you believe that (Oh, God, totally crazy 'bout them)?

Oh.. I am scared to start.... the drawings are so graphically great!

Sorry for the delay. With every day I didn' start drawing my bad conscience grew and grew and grew. Today I couldn't stand it any longer and I just did it. Hope that nobody from my neighbors will find this here. My drawings has no likeness with my real neighbors.
